OVERVIEW
Nightfall Cabernet is a full-bodied red wine from Spain with a forceful personality and plush fruit, grown in the dusty plains of Northern Spain. This region is well known for its’ bullfighting culture and long tradition of growing high quality red wine. For a great Matador, courage and timing is key, and these principles extend to growing Cabernet Sauvignon as well.

It takes a brave soul to tend to the vines, under the hot Spanish sun. Fortunately, our winegrowers have mastered this time-honored tradition, and the result of their labor is an alluring, rich and spicy Cabernet. Have a glass or two of this hearty red and get in the ring, Olé!.

WINE PROFILE

Nightfall is a classic Cabernet, ripe and forward, featuring notes of wild blackberries, dark cherry and black currant. A kiss of vanilla oak and spice on the finish helps balance the wine’s robust fruitiness.

FOOD COMBINATIONS

Steak (of course!), braised short ribs, roast lamb, Portabello mushrooms, aged cheeses, pasta with spicy sausage.

SPAIN AND PLEASURE

Spain’s natural aptitude for growing high quality red grapes is greatly influenced by its geography, where towering mountains, broad river valleys and Bay of Biscay breezes help to regulate the hot Mediterranean climate. Cabernet Sauvignon vines flourish in the arid interior, producing concentrated, juicy, fruity red wines.

Spain has always been at the forefront of gastronomic culture, home to some of the greatest chefs, artisanal food producers, and of course vignerons, that the world has ever known.  Something about this laid back attitude, this Mediterranean way of life seems to infuse itself in the country’s exports, which are internationally coveted and often recognized as the best of their class. Nightfall Cabernet is no exception. It is now, and has always been, an exciting time for the Spanish wine industry - the past serves as a guiding light to the hearty souls tending the vines, and the future shines even brighter
